For Black History month in October 2023, the SHADES OF BLACK series of plays was launched at The Pleasance London. The evening performances' were a tribute to lesser known Black and Brown people from history. With an continuation of new plays in October 2024.

5 Shades of Black cast

An ensemble of plays shown at The Pleasance London in October 2023, that showcased historical people from the Black and Brown community. This included Mary Prince, a former British slave and abolitionist, Princess Sophia Duleep Singh, a British Asian suffragette and Queen Victoria's goddaughter. Donald Rodney, one of the co-founders of the British Black art movement in 1980s, Angela Davis, Civil right activist and one of FBI most wanted as well as Tupac Shakur, poet, rapper and actor.
